ground-vibration

Vibration is heavily studied in the scientific literature. It’s negative effects on people and structures are well characterized in many settings. Vibration standards exist worldwide to limit and mitigate the impacts of vibration on people and structures. Scientific studies indicate that windfarm development and operations can produce vibrations that can have deleterious impacts. Windfarm development and operation require adherence to appropriate ground vibration standards, monitoring to assure compliance, and possible mitigation to minimize deleterious effects on a continuous basis. Such prudent and reasonable steps preserve good relations with neighbours, minimize impacts, reduce the need for regulation, and ultimately, save money, and time wasted on litigation.
